Attorney Profile

Elan M. Feder

Elan Feder is a native of Montgomery County, Maryland.  When he's not practicing law in his Kensington office, he spends time with his family, fishes, scuba dives, and enjoys cigars.

Elan earned his B.A. in English, with honors, from the University of Maryland.  He then studied at the University of Baltimore School of Law, graduating cum laude with a concentration in Family Law.

After passing the bar, he began his legal career with Ward Pratz & Associates, P.A (now "Ward & Co. Chtd.").  There, he assisted clients in such diverse practice areas as Bankruptcy, Zoning, Landlord/Tenant, Family Law, Social Security Appeals, and Civil Litigation, among others.

In 2012, Elan opened the doors of Feder Legal Services in the small but vibrant town of Kensington, permitting him to be closer to his wife and three sons in Germantown.  This also enabled him to begin providing legal assistance to the local residents he considered his neighbors.

Then, in 2016, Elan took and passed the Florida bar exam so he could open a practice on the west coast of Florida near his parents.  Along with this expansion came the new name of the practice, Feder Legal, PLLC.

Elan maintains his varied practice, assisting his new neighbors in Manatee and Sarasota counties in the areas of Family Law, Bankruptcy, Collections, and Breach of Contract.

Elan is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Florida, the Maryland Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
